About MJCG Gray
M.J.C Gray’s collages are inspired by eclectic lifestyles, people, cultures and
other pervasive influences found along the way over years of expansive years
of work and travel. Constantly fascinated by different influences experienced
first hand, from Scotland to Japan, China to the Middle East amongst
others, MJC Gray’s pieces reflect the weird and wonderful world we live in.
With tongue in cheek references and symbolism from sources as varied as
Hollywood circa 1953 to paintings of the baroque, TS Eliot, Arabic poetry
and juxtapositions of such personas as Sean Connery and Sophie Loren
intertwined with Shanghai beauties and Japanese idioms, these collages
will touch you and make you smile and hopefully think a little. With pieces
secured in private collections with appreciative collectors in Scotland, Dubai
and New York amongst others, we hope that you will enjoy them too.
