This is the Mona Lisa, but updated to a Hollywood circa 1953. What would have happened to Mona Lisa and that enigmatic smile had she been born in the wrong era?
Would she have been thrust unknowingly into the limelight, would scarlet lipstick added to that enigmatic smile - that was so fashionable for the age? Could she have been another Marilyn, another victim of Hollywood’s sausage machine? We shall never know. But for sure we would know a lot more about her than we currently do as she originally was painted in the early sixteenth century by Leonardo da Vinci. One thing we do know - the featured male partner is a well known Maltese actor from the 1950’’s who ‘made it’ in Hollywood and returned to Malta with fame and fortune. His name was
